Camel valley is among the seven appellations that comprise of diverse wine selections in Monterey County and in all these appellations there is no doubt that Monterey wineries are the most distinct. The wineries are strategically nestled in the towering range of Santa Lucia; Carmel Valley defies geographical daytime fogs and zephyrs characterized by summer afternoons that are amazingly sizzling and highly favorable to various red wine varietals including Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Camel valley village is uniquely dotted with cute looking rooms for wine wasting representing the richness of wineries in this area.

Another winery in Carmel valley wineries, Talbott vineyards is owned by Robb Talbott and its Chardonnays have made this winery a legendary in its own right. The vineyards were launched in 1982 when the first grapes were planted on the Diamond T vineyard. Within a 6 acre land and a fully equipped barrel room, the wines there are consist of ferment aged wines and Chardonnay barreled longer in the oak. Some other wines that they have are cream sherry and port.

Among the wineries in Montreal wineries, Bernardus winery and vineyards have become popular and known because of their Bernardus wine. Aside from Bernardus, they also offer other varieties of wine such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.
