Some Business Travel Tips

By Poppy Hill

Anyone who is heading out on a business trip will know the difficulty in travelling with suitcases and how easy they can become lost or stolen at airports. You could spend most of your time awaiting details and filling out forms of your stolen property. The main tip from a former business traveller is to buy at least two suitcases and keep one in the loft as spare. Pack your luggage with any spare toiletries as this will save you when you leave for your trip as your suitcase will be already packed.

Another good tip would be to have the same products and items in both suitcases. As you will have double the products consider keeping them in your case packed for your next trip this will save time and money as sometimes the stores offer deals on toiletries. This also means you do not need to unpack your second suitcase for the next trip. After a few trips you will become used to travelling with just two suits and a few shirts which will go with any suit you have packed.

You might think women have a business trip a little bit easier than a man as they can pack different items to smarten up their suits such as adding a nice piece of jewellery or perhaps adding a dressy scarf any of this can be a delight to your wardrobe.

When traveling business class most people think of planes as their mode of transport completely forgetting about the taking the train to their meeting point if the journey time is less than say 300 miles. The train may be quicker for this journey and it means you can also work for the time uninterrupted whereby you will be unable to use your business phone or laptops when you are in the air.

Air travel can be time consuming as you generally are required to travel about 1 hour to reach the airport and then be sure to arrive about 2 hours before your flight takes off not forgetting checking in process.

One last tip is to travel and stay in a hotel which accommodates office and business travellers. There is nothing worse than arriving at a hotel then discovering that there is no fax machine or computer or printer and no internet connection.

The best advise we can give is to try and arrange phone coverage on arrival into your new destination. There is nothing worse than arriving and finding your network does not cover this area. The hunt would be on for a new phone to work.
