Which Type Of Luggage Suits You?

By Poppy Hill

Booking your holiday and arranging what to clothes to bring with you on your vacation would all depend on what type of luggage you intend to take with you on your trip. Generally there are two options, the first would be a suitcase the other a back pack. Some people have strong opinions on both types but neither is right or wrong just personal choice.

Back packing is great and is popular with students who travel around the world for several months. They are large and can hold a lot of clothes and accessories and fit onto your back allowing you the freedom of your hands. This is helpful if you arrive at a station and wish to purchase rail or bus tickets for your journey. You can pay for the them and board your transport option without having to worry too much about your luggage. One main point which is not so good is the baggage is very heavy after a while and you may incur a sore back or keep bumping into people as your view is restricted .

What about buying a suitcase then for your travels. Depending on your journey you can carry on a small suitcase which fits in above your seat on the air plane. This is a perfect solution for those travelling for a few days only and do not wish to wait at the end of a flight for their suitcase to arrive on the carousel. Otherwise a medium suitcase will be a great idea for most types of holidays and will fit into the hold on the plane which saves you having to carry the suitcase around the airport and onto the flight. One disadvantage is carrying a suitcase up and down stairs as the luggage may be heavy. Great for using on lifts and elevators though.

Some passengers prefer one to the other but there is no difference only personal choice. Passengers travelling with cases feel they are treated better when they arrive at airports and hotels where as back packers come with a predetermined opinion by some as they tend to be used by gap year students. The selection is up to you.

Travellers are unsure during the day what to place their items when on holiday. A shoulder bag could be used as this can be worn either over your shoulder or across your shoulder and front. Some people may find this uncomfortable on their necks if the bag is weighed down with sun lotions, water etc. You may consider a small bag pack which may solve your problem of neck pains as the weight will be distributed over your back and shoulders and also holds a lot.

Think about what type you are going on and which luggage would suit your needs for both day and travelling along with.
