Jacksonville is the most important city in the U.S. State of Florida of both population and land area. Jacksonville pulls thousands of holiday makers every year for the warm and inviting climate. Additionally, there are some important buildings and places in and round the Jacksonville area. Many of these significant buildings in Jacksonville hold great historical seriousness. Every year an increasing quantity of holiday makers select architectural sight-seeing over Miami resort hostels and head to Jacksonville for the unique and important design.
Catherine Street Fire Station
A consequential building in Jacksonville, the Catherine Street Fire Station was initially found at fourteen Catherine Street but was moved to Urban Park. This building now homes a fire museum now called the "Jacksonville Fire Museum". This building is amongst the oldest consequential buildings in Jacksonville, all the way back to the late 1700s. Tours of this unique landmark are given in the months of summer.
Edwin M. Stanton School
The school is found at 521 Ashley Street in the center of downtown Jacksonville. The school is said to be a countrywide landmark and was added to the U.S. Countrywide Register of Historic Places in 1983. The modern inheritor of the highschool is the Stanton College Preparatory School.
"Tours of Liberty Trail"
This trail has been teaching travelers and the community on civil rights history that lies in the town and to generate funding for developing activities. The tutorial 90 minute tour will include sites where some of the famous civil rights activities had taken place. The admission price for adults is $15 and youngsters can tour the facility for $7.
Jack Nicklaus Exhibition
This exhibition is another consequential place of interest. The World Golf Hall-Of-Fame will expose some new artifacts. Items on view include the set of Mac Gregor irons that were used at the 1986 Pros. Lots of the first artifacts will be on view for the subsequent 1/4. The artifacts are at present on loan from the Jack Nicklaus Museum at the "Ohio State University".
Prairie and Land Heritage Museum
Prairie and Land Heritage Museum is located at the corner of Michigan and Lincoln Avenue's. The museum is of important interest down to the proven fact that it shows off some of the littler household and farming items from past times and present. In addition, the museum also can include a section on farm hardware, automobile hardware as well as an vet office and masses more.
