By Jozy Mozen

Boca Raton Florida is a city along the eastern coastline of America, and is nearby to Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. It is within Palm Beach county. Although the city is recorded to have about 87,000 residents, some who have listed their addresses as within the city actually live in other nearby areas. They only travel to this city for work. This means that the number of people greatly increase during working hours.

This very attractive city alongside the ocean has a fairly flat terrain, with only a few hills above sea level. The highest point is the guard shack at Camino Gardens, and the appropriately named High Street, or 4th Avenue, is another higher part. The city is lovely for tourists, and it offers safe neighborhoods for its residents. Some people feel only the rich can afford it, but there is plenty to do on a budget as well. The climate is warm, and the beaches are inviting.

A number of waterfront restaurants offer beautiful views of the Atlantic ocean. The restaurants also have different styles. You can enjoy a casual meal of hamburgers or sandwiches, or a variety of seafood, pastas or steaks. If you want to eat for less, you can try the Cannoli Kitchen, Too Jay's or Sal's New York Grill. The choice of mid-range restaurants are also endless.

For those with more to spend on meals there are upper-class restaurants with the best meats, seafood and wine. They include the Italian Ristorant Bova and New York Prime. You can go out at night to any of the numerous bars, and even to a few clubs to dance. The New York Comedy Club is found in the city as well, often featuring performances by top comedians like Chelsea Lately.

Visitors can shop till they drop at any of the city's large centers. Along Glades Road is the Town Center Mall, filled with high-end boutiques. Nearby, are also Mizner Park and Royal Palm Place, both with a selection of good stores selling all sorts of items. Quite a few private and public schools serve the children of the city, while the young adults can go to Palm Beach State College, Lynn University or another of the higher learning facilities.

For entertainment, there are movie theaters. Most are just the average theater, but the iPic Theaters are grand, with a club atmosphere and many special services. The city boasts the Caldwell Theater Company as well, which is used for live theatrical performances. It was built in 1975.

Kids attractions include the Coconut Cove Waterpark and the Sugar Sands Park, but the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center is a lovelyouting as well. It has a rehabilitation center for turtles, a butterfly garden and many other things. It may be entered free of charge. The city's Museum of Art is interesting, and worth a visit too.

Boca Raton lifestyle has much more to offer, both outdoors and indoors. Sports facilities are found at the parks, and mini golf, go karts and arcades are good fun too. Buses by Palm Tran offer transport in the city, but most people have their own vehicles.
