By Sherry Gross

The United States Of America has certain authorized bodies to any auto racing events. One of these bodies is the United States Auto Club. In many years, it keeps on supporting the National championship in the US and their support reached the Indianapolis 500. Today the USAC Sprint Car Racing series already supports each series such as the silver crown, National Sprint Car, National Midget and the Ignite Ethanol fuel Series.

Commonly, the highest powered racing vehicles are the sprint cars. These automobiles are well designed to run faster in a circular, paved or short oval track. This kind of car racing event is quite popular in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and in the United States. It consist a full forced ratio speed of 140 miles for every hour.

It has also power outputs of 900 up to 1,100 horsepower for its machine. The safety measures for most racers has been improved for many years to protect them. Most of the NASCAR and Indy Car Series drivers are using the racing in sprinting car as a stepping stone for divisions with high profiles.

The improvement in this competition has been developed and comes up with new safety regulations imposed to most racers. Most of the cars have been installed wings for the protection of the drivers. There are also fuel tank bladders to prevent fuel leakage and a safety harness for a newbie or for younger drivers. Wearing driving gloves are also required.

There are other required equipments for a driver such as the use of helmets, the arm restraint system, rock screens for roll cages, head and neck restraint system and the use of a headrest facility. These are just some of the required mandatory for their safety and to keep themselves away from harm.

There are two various kinds of racing cars, the winged and non winged cars. The very first winged vehicle was created in the year 1958 and since then, many drivers already installed wings for their cars. This is because the wings can increase the force on the automobile and helps the automobile to direct in the opposite way. It gives the sideboards to turn the vehicle to each corner. It can make the vehicle to maximize its traction and to keep it faster and easier to control.

Installing the wings is also a precautionary measure to reduce the risk of airborne. If an automobile goes airborne, it can absorb a certain effect of the flip. It serves as a great protection for most drivers during an accident. Most team members are replacing the wings of their vehicles during a stoppage and return it back when the race resumed.

A non winged automobile is mostly famous in Australia. These wingless cars are commonly referred as nos sprints. This is composed of a six cylinder type of engine that can reach a general speed of 180 kilometers for every hour. It has features just like sprint cars. The only difference is the absence of wings.

This competition is not only considering the kinds of vehicles used by the racers, the organization also ensures that each driver is safe throughout the track. Whether, they join the track for fun or to gain popularity, safety must be considered first. Through following the proper guidelines, surely everyone can obtain an enjoyable race track experience.
