In the many holiday destinations in the world, Barbados has turned out to be one of the most attractive destination for many. Most travellers especially from temperate and other landlocked countries love spending their holidays in Barbados has offered them the best opportunity.

A small country which has fully stretched coasts on its west and eastern side, it boasts a massive inflow of tourists who visit the place for the holiday. The country has a low population with a history of British occupation and West Africans. The place is quite and retains much of its culture.

For those who wish to have a moment in Barbados, the best time is between December and April where the temperature is lower than most of the time. In addition to this at this particular time, the costs tend to be less stormy and the humidity levels are low. However, the rate at this stage is usually high since its the peak season. One who travels there between May and July will have an opportunity to enjoy the same environmental conditions as those who were there during the peak season but them will do it at much lower rates.

This country boasts for having one of the best beaches in the world beaches located on the long coastal strips on the eastern and western shores. Many sporting activities go on there. The calm waters favour swimming. The high winds and waves are favourable for surfing. The warm and cold currents around these beaches promote fishing games and deep sea diving. These beaches include Accra Beach, Crane Beach and many others.

The culture retained and appreciated up to date enhances the beauty of Barbados. Some games date back from the early 1880s during the slavery period. The Tuk band is an example of the old cultural practices that still enjoyed. This group made of people with brightly coloured clothes, having traditional musical instruments played mainly along the beach.

For the fun of history, a holiday trip to Barbados would not be enough without a visit to the Barbados Museum and the old Anglican churches built by the Britons during the colonial and slavery eras. The museum has a long history of the people in that country and holds the rich culture of this beautiful land.
