Jamaica Family Resorts All Inclusive Advice

By Barbara Lee

Searching for a vacation that all the family can enjoy can be a difficult task. Small children may be happy playing on a beach while Mum and Dad relax, but older children can get bored and need entertaining. Keeping to a budget for meal times can also be tough when you are unsure of local prices and possibly the kids will only eat certain foods. Booking Jamaica family resorts all inclusive means not having to worry about additional food costs and keep the children entertained all day.

Right in the heart of the Caribbean, this beautiful island has so much to offer. There are rain forests, glorious beaches, waterfalls, sugar plantations and a host of water sports to enjoy. The majority of hotels are located on the north side of the island at Ocho Rios, Runaway Bay, Montego Bay and Negril. Each of these areas boasts an excellent selection of hotels offering packages to suit all budgets.

Children may be excited about a vacation, but after hours of flying, the prospect of a longer boring coach trip can turn them into grumpy tired travelers. Careful planning can minimize the transfer time to resort as you can match your airport to your final destination. Most flights either land at Montego Bay in the north or the capital Kingston.

Wherever you choose to visit, there are many sites and activities on hand should you wish to explore outside your complex. A particular favorite with visitors is Dunn's River Falls which is located close to Ocho Rios. Centrally located Montego Bay is ideal a base to explore from having the added benefit of being close by the airport, however there are fewer all inclusive options in this area than for example Negril.

Each of the main tourist areas benefits from the beautiful sandy beaches which allow access to all manner of water sports and activities. There are any number of things to do out of the water as well which should be listed in the hotel's brochure or on their website. Some activities might incur an extra charge so check to see whether the things you like to do are included.

Scuba diving is extremely popular in the clear water of the Caribbean. This will probably be charged extra or only available through a local dive center. If you are hoping to go diving, make sure to check prior to booking if it is part of your package or check out the rates with the dive center direct.

After selecting which part of the island you wish to stay, your choice of hotel might be limited by budget. As with all things, higher quality and amenities command higher prices. There are offers to be found online to maximize your budget as some places may offer deals for kids. Careful research and use of review sites should lead you to an ideal resort at a price that suits.

The majority of properties will have baby sitting services, regular nightly entertainment, kids clubs and even a water park. There are even hotels where the children's entertainment is based on a well known TV show. Some hotels have offers for families such as upgrades to suites of free places for a 3rd child so you are bound to find a great deal on this glorious island paradise.
