The Different Etiquette Practices While Parking Near A Crowd

By Eugenia Dickerson

Oftentimes when we are in a rush to find parking near Seatac. People tend to ignore the respect for other drivers. Since the times have changed and everyone is living a fast paced life, etiquette is not practiced. This is a very alarming issue knowing that possible accidents may happen because of selfish concerns.

Scan through the pages of your driving manual. If you are blocking other cars while you are waiting to get in the store, check those people who are waiting behind you. Your car may hinder drivers from heading back to their place after they are done shopping. Be mindful of those cars who are pulling out.

If you are behind them while they put the groceries in the car, be patient. There are still other cars behind you and some may not go around because you are taking up all the road. Be courteous enough to know your place behind the wheel and from the car moving out in front of you.

Do not allow the children to push the cart that you are carrying. This will be very dangerous especially in busy lots. If you are parking in the hillside of a lot, you can end up damaging a vehicle. Children should be supervised when they are out of the store. They should not be allowed to ride in the cart towards the vehicle.

Infants and toddlers can ride in a special seat that is attached to a shopping cart as the parents control in with both hands secured to the handle. Make sure that the vehicle is centered in the correct measurement. Learn how to park a large truck or vehicle correctly. There are some spaces that are too small for these type of vehicles.

Inspect if the parking you made is in the center of the space. Pull it all throughout way to the given area. It will be easier for others to see beyond your car when they will back out of spaces opposite you. This is also helpful for shoppers as they push their loaded carts back to the driving lane where there are other moving cars around.

Never try to squeeze in your car into a constricted location. If the lots are crowded, there are special arrangements to fully packed areas. The measurement for a single place is around nine feet in width and those with compact car areas would be seven feet. Big trucks will mostly not fit into a tiny space because they are not supposed to be there.

There are also blind spots in most areas, check for drivers who will be moving out. Always be on your guard when checking for a space. Smaller vehicles will not be seen normally as they pull behind trucks. Estimate the area which you will be backing out of.

Observe other legal rules for driving inside a parking lot. There are laws that cover operating a car in a public place. Even lots have speed limits. Do not take them for granted or you will pay a charge for it. Read different markings. Try not to assume on a lane which you think is safe to cross as you are parking near Seatac.
